Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included the work Monochrome (Black/Cobalt Blue) by Anish Kapoor. The price achieved of GBP 500,000.00 (€ 587,371.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anish Kapoor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,945,250.00 (€ 2,471,462.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monochrome (Black/Cobalt Blue) von Anish Kapoor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 500.000,00 (€ 587.371,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anish Kapoor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.945.250,00 (€ 2.471.462,02).
