In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Bum by Anna Weyant. The »bidding war« ended at USD 390,600.00 (€ 378,378.38), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anna Weyant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Falling Woman, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 1,623,000.00 (€ 1,512,440.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bum von Anna Weyant zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 390.600,00 (€ 378.378,38) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Anna Weyant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Falling Woman beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 1.623.000,00 (€ 1.512.440,59) versteigert wurde.
