Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Antoni Clavé could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in December 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Poisson changed hands for EUR 12,500.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antoni Clavé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Musiciens in February 2005 with an auction result of GBP 187,200.00 (€ 271,463.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Antoni Clavé konnte im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Poisson für EUR 12.500,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antoni Clavé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Musiciens im Februar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.200,00 (€ 271.463,97).
