Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER, MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS, which included the work Teste e Figure XII by Antonio Maria Zanetti II. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,410.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Maria Zanetti II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Caricature of a man eating a boiled egg with another standing behind, which sold at auction in July 2000 for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,559.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER, MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Teste e Figure XII von Antonio Maria Zanetti II zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.410,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Maria Zanetti II mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Caricature of a man eating a boiled egg with another standing behind beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.559,90) versteigert wurde.
