The work INSIDER VIII/WEEDS I by Antony Gormley was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 225,000.00 (€ 263,859.15), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).

Die Arbeit INSIDER VIII/WEEDS I von Antony Gormley wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 225.000,00 (€ 263.859,15) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
