Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Village en Alsace by Bernard Gantner was sold in the IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN AND POST-WAR ART SALE auction at Christies in London in December 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,164.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bernard Gantner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Soleil d'hiver in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,872.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Village en Alsace von Bernard Gantner wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion IMPRESSIONIST, MODERN AND POST-WAR ART SALE bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.164,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Gantner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Soleil d'hiver im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.872,91).
