In April 2017 Artcurial held the auction Prints & Illustrated Books, which included the work Composition - 1924 by César Domela. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,040.00 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César Domela achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Composition Néoplastique in November 2014 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 531,199.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Artcurial die Auktion Prints & Illustrated Books durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition - 1924 von César Domela zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.040,00 und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César Domela erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Composition Néoplastique im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 531.199,15).
