Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Christer Strömholm could be acquired at Bukowski in Stockholm in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art & Design auction, the work Self Portrait, 1975-76. changed hands for SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,323.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christer Strömholm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Hiroshima-sviten", 1963 (22 parts) in November 2011 with an auction result of SEK 160,000.00 (€ 17,602.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christer Strömholm konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design wechselte die Arbeit Self Portrait, 1975-76. für SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.323,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christer Strömholm auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Hiroshima-sviten", 1963 (22 parts) im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 160.000,00 (€ 17.602,02).
