Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2016 Christies in London held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work 8 Odi Di Orazio (Series Ii) by Cy Twombly. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,095.48), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cy Twombly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (New York City) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 70,530,000.00 (€ 66,777,125.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit 8 Odi Di Orazio (Series Ii) von Cy Twombly zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.095,48) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cy Twombly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (New York City) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 70.530.000,00 (€ 66.777.125,54).
