Upper estimate price exceeded by 70 %.
The work Rain on the Studio Window by David Hockney was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in June last year. It achieved a price of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 23,699.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
