In November 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included the work Schedel - Skull by Edgar Fernhout. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 97,990.00 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edgar Fernhout; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Zee (ochtend) sold at auction in June 2017 with the realized price of EUR 122,500.00.

Im November 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Schedel - Skull von Edgar Fernhout zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 97.990,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Edgar Fernhout; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Zee (ochtend) im Juni 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 122.500,00.
