This artwork by Édouard Manet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Vaches Au Pâturage sold for USD 237,500.00 (€ 215,536.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Édouard Manet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Grand Canal à Venise in November last year with an auction result of USD 51,915,000.00 (€ 50,290,613.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Édouard Manet erzielte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Vaches Au Pâturage für USD 237.500,00 (€ 215.536,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Édouard Manet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Grand Canal à Venise im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.915.000,00 (€ 50.290.613,19).
