Auction result misses estimated price range

This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Edward Pfizenmaier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wollman Rink, Central Park, New York, 1954, which sold at auction in December 2009 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,977.39).
