The work Standing Bull by Elaine de Kooning was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Elaine de Kooning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Bison/Blue Horse in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 562,500.00 (€ 479,008.77).

Die Arbeit Standing Bull von Elaine de Kooning kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elaine de Kooning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Bison/Blue Horse im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 562.500,00 (€ 479.008,77).
