Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Chairs by Elisa Sighicelli was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,443.86). Admittedly, works by Elisa Sighicelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iceland: Bathroom in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Chairs von Elisa Sighicelli im März 2014 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.443,86) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elisa Sighicelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iceland: Bathroom im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16).
