Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Blue with Black I by Ellsworth Kelly was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,130.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellsworth Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Curve VII in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 9,809,000.00 (€ 8,901,896.72).
