Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Nyc by Faile for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,168.50). This price was achieved in the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Faile achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York City 02 in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,793.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nyc von Faile für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.168,50) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Faile erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit New York City 02 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.793,22).
