This work of art by Francis Frith could be acquired at Christies in Paris in November 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PHOTOGRAPHIES COLLECTION D'UN AMATEUR auction, the work Autoportrait en costume d'été Turc changed hands for EUR 1,410.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Frith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egypt, Palestine & Nubia in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 31,070.00 (€ 46,616.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Frith konnte im November 2002 bei Christies in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHIES COLLECTION D'UN AMATEUR wechselte die Arbeit Autoportrait en costume d'été Turc für EUR 1.410,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Frith erzielen.
