Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Sans titre by Francis Picabia. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,483.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Picabia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pavonia in March last year with an auction result of EUR 9,996,700.00.
