In the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples auction, the work Benjamin Moore Series sold for USD 88,200.00 (€ 79,891.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Point Of Pines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 28,082,500.00 (€ 25,188,357.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Stella erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Benjamin Moore Series für USD 88.200,00 (€ 79.891,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Point Of Pines im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.082.500,00 (€ 25.188.357,70).
