Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Fall by Ged Quinn was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art (Evening Auction) auction at Christies in London in February 2013. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 97,250.00 (€ 112,961.39), 22% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ged Quinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gone to Yours, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 193,250.00 (€ 227,632.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Fall von Ged Quinn wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Evening Auction) bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 97.250,00 (€ 112.961,39) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ged Quinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gone to Yours beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 193.250,00 (€ 227.632,33) versteigert wurde.
