Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Night They Burned Down The Old Magritte Place by Ged Quinn was sold in the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 91,250.00 (€ 113,453.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ged Quinn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gone to Yours, which sold at auction in February 2011 for GBP 193,250.00 (€ 227,632.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Night They Burned Down The Old Magritte Place von Ged Quinn wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 91.250,00 (€ 113.453,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ged Quinn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gone to Yours beobachtet, die im Februar 2011 für GBP 193.250,00 (€ 227.632,33) versteigert wurde.
