Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ein Dichter ist er by George Grosz was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,137.81). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Grosz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gefährliche Straße in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 9,740,250.00 (€ 11,288,971.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ein Dichter ist er von George Grosz wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.137,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Grosz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gefährliche Straße im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.740.250,00 (€ 11.288.971,84).
