Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Georges Valmier for USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,457.93). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Valmier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte Au Compotier in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 725,000.00 (€ 582,891.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Georges Valmier für USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.457,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Valmier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Morte Au Compotier im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 725.000,00 (€ 582.891,14).
