Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bay of Sagami, Atami by Hiroshi Sugimoto was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 24,130.00 (€ 22,833.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bay of Sagami, Atami von Hiroshi Sugimoto kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 24.130,00 (€ 22.833,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hiroshi Sugimoto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.888.000,00 (€ 1.403.404,45).
