Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homme assis by Jacques Lipchitz was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 151,200.00 (€ 140,900.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Lipchitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,380,000.00 (€ 4,242,952.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Homme assis von Jacques Lipchitz wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 140.900,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Lipchitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.380.000,00 (€ 4.242.952,63).
