Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Riva, No.1, from The First Venice Set by James Abbott McNeill Whistler was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 4,080 (€ 4,740) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 3,000 - 5,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Abbott McNeill Whistler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Whistler Smoking in November last year with an auction result of USD 1,200,000 (€ 1,063,170).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Riva, No.1, from The First Venice Set von James Abbott McNeill Whistler wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
