Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Time Stands Still by James Rielly was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2001. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,640.00 (€ 9,115.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Rielly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Random Acts of Kindness, which sold at auction in February 2002 for GBP 21,737.50 (€ 35,473.45).

Die Arbeit Time Stands Still von James Rielly kam im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.640,00 (€ 9.115,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von James Rielly mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Random Acts of Kindness beobachtet, die im Februar 2002 für GBP 21.737,50 (€ 35.473,45) versteigert wurde.
