Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saga by Jason Martin was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,384.39), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Origin, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Saga von Jason Martin wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.384,39) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Origin beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.353,46) versteigert wurde.
