In March this year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Scène d'intérieur (le Satiricon), Encolpe et Giton by Jean Cocteau. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,317.71), 49% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Cocteau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mediterranee - 1952 in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 132,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène d'intérieur (le Satiricon), Encolpe et Giton von Jean Cocteau zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.317,71) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Cocteau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mediterranee - 1952 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 132.000,00.
