Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso, which included the work La Plage by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul. The price achieved of GBP 40,320.00 (€ 47,365.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dans La Roseraie in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 893,000.00 (€ 656,328.09).
