Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Falschgeld, 1979 by Joseph Beuys was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Brussels in December this year. The price achieved of EUR 704.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Beuys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zeitpunkt: Das Massaker von Muenchen (Point of time: The Massacre of Munich) in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 854,500.00 (€ 1,094,936.23).
