Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #6 by Karl Haendel for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,958.98). This price was achieved in the auction First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Karl Haendel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mazel Tov Group (Untitled (Whale); New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #27; Circus #3; Emmett Kelly; Dylan Lyrics #2) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,260.30).

Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit New Yorker Cartoon Drawing #6 von Karl Haendel für USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.958,98) erwerben.
