It achieved a price of USD 63,500.00 (€ 58,406.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by Katherine Bernhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).

Die Arbeit Rubik's Cubes + Watermelon + Duracell von Katherine Bernhardt kam im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 63.500,00 (€ 58.406,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katherine Bernhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
