Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Iceberg VIII, Disko Bay, Greenland by Lynn Davis was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,678.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lynn Davis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000, which sold at auction in October 2019 for USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Iceberg VIII, Disko Bay, Greenland von Lynn Davis kam im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.678,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lynn Davis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64) versteigert wurde.
