In the Impressionist and 20th Century Works on Paper auction, the work A sketchbook including a selection of 14 bozzetti (recto and verso of the sheets), of which 6 on sepia paper, 7 on white paper, and 1 on fine tracing paper. sold for GBP 23,500.00 (€ 37,250.39) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mariano Fortuny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish arabe Delante De Un Tapiz (Arab Before A Tapestry) in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 735,650.00 (€ 841,218.03).
