This artwork by Maurice Utrillo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March this year. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Vue d'église sold for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 78,842.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Utrillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Paravent De Maurice Utrillo, 1939 in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 835,540.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maurice Utrillo erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale wurde die Arbeit Vue d'église für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 78.842,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Utrillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Paravent De Maurice Utrillo, 1939 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 835.540,00.
