Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Le Dessert by Maxime Maufra. The price achieved of USD 63,000.00 (€ 58,708.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Maxime Maufra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Vent , which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 266,500.00 (€ 198,097.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Dessert von Maxime Maufra zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 58.708,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Maxime Maufra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Vent beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 266.500,00 (€ 198.097,08) versteigert wurde.
