Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nana by Niki de Saint Phalle was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,949.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Niki de Saint Phalle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nana Danseuse Noire (Grande Danseuse Negresse) - Circa 1968 in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 961,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nana von Niki de Saint Phalle wurde im Februar 2004 in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.352,50 (€ 16.949,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Niki de Saint Phalle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nana Danseuse Noire (Grande Danseuse Negresse) - Circa 1968 im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 961.500,00.
