Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Oleg Tistol was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,291.61). Admittedly, works by Oleg Tistol have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Colouring in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 41,125.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Oleg Tistol im November 2011 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.291,61) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oleg Tistol auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Colouring im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 41.125,01).
