Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Otto Dix could be acquired at Christies in London in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Soldat mit Tabakspfeife changed hands for GBP 189,000.00 (€ 215,024.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otto Dix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sitzender Akt Mit Blondem Haar (Seated Nude With Blond Hair) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,513,250.00 (€ 4,350,239.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Otto Dix konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale wechselte die Arbeit Soldat mit Tabakspfeife für GBP 189.000,00 (€ 215.024,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otto Dix erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sitzender Akt Mit Blondem Haar (Seated Nude With Blond Hair) im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.513.250,00 (€ 4.350.239,94).
