Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pablo Gargallo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2013. In the Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session auction, the work Picador sold for GBP 176,500.00 (€ 206,007.11) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pablo Gargallo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927, which sold at auction in October 2007 for EUR 490,896.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pablo Gargallo erzielte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Day Sale Afternoon session wurde die Arbeit Picador für GBP 176.500,00 (€ 206.007,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pablo Gargallo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Masque D'Arlequin Souriant Iii, 1927 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für EUR 490.896,00 versteigert wurde.
