Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Étude pour le tableau "L'Acropole" by Paul Delvaux was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 126,000.00 (€ 117,416.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Delvaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Miroir in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 7,317,000.00 (€ 9,375,831.98).
