Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Christies in Paris held the auction Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain, which included the work Sans titre by Pierre Tal Coat. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 7,210.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Tal Coat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 19,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Pierre Tal Coat zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 7.210,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre Tal Coat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 19.450,00 versteigert wurde.
