In July 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Aissah Salifu, Agbogbloshie Market, Accra, Ghana from Permanent Error by Pieter Hugo. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,801.60), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Hugo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mummy Ahmadu and Mallam Mantari Lamal with Mainasara, Abuja, Nigeria, 2005 in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,053.66).

Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aissah Salifu, Agbogbloshie Market, Accra, Ghana from Permanent Error von Pieter Hugo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.801,60) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Hugo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mummy Ahmadu and Mallam Mantari Lamal with Mainasara, Abuja, Nigeria, 2005 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.053,66).
