Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Study For Italian Girl I by Reg Butler was sold in the Contemporary Art | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2020. The auction ended at the price of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,493.29), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Reg Butler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woman Standing in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 146,500.00 (€ 183,044.74).
