Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Column Painting 8A (Dark Red Study) by Robert Mangold. The price achieved of USD 139,700.00 (€ 128,495.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Mangold have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 746,500.00 (€ 956,547.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Column Painting 8A (Dark Red Study) von Robert Mangold zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 139.700,00 (€ 128.495,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Mangold auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 746.500,00 (€ 956.547,57).
