This artwork by Robert Mangold achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April this year. In the The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples auction, the work Untitled (A, B, C) sold for USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,554.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Mangold achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 746,500.00 (€ 956,547.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Mangold erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples wurde die Arbeit Untitled (A, B, C) für USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.554,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Mangold erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 746.500,00 (€ 956.547,57).
