Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape 6, from Ten Landscapes by Roy Lichtenstein was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,376.10). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape 6, from Ten Landscapes von Roy Lichtenstein kam im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.376,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roy Lichtenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nurse im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.365.000,00 (€ 90.290.664,65).
