This artwork by Sahara Longe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June this year. In the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction, the work Self-Portrait sold for GBP 113,400.00 (€ 131,978.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sahara Longe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Party Scene sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 202,556.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sahara Longe erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Self-Portrait für GBP 113.400,00 (€ 131.978,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sahara Longe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Party Scene im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 202.556,21).
